Hospitality Chair:  Sarah Armstrong

Chair & Standing Committee Duties:

The Hospitality Committee acts as the face of Reagan PTA, providing  a feeling of friendliness and warmth, a "we" feeling in every situation.

There are many levels of involvement with this Standing Committee.  Here's a quick description of what opportunities are available right now:

Hospitality Committee Chair - This position is a Standing Committee Chair appointed by Reagan PTA Board Members.  The Chair is welcomed to attend each Board Meeting (roughly monthly in the evening) and each PTA General Meeting and acts as a voting member of the Executive Board.  The Chair will be required to submit a Plan of Work for Approval for budgeted activities through out the school year.  All approved expenses are reimbursable.

Team Coordinator - A Coordinator organizes particular activities/efforts for appreciation weeks and days.  There would be an approved budget for this team and all approved expenses are reimbursable.

- Soup for the Soul CoordinatorThis position involves organizing the efforts (e.g., mealplan, decor) for this staff appreciation event, currently scheduled for October 23.

- Baker's Dozen Coordinator:  This Team provides food donations at the staff meetings and PTA events.

- Appreciation Coordinator - This position is a Team Coordinator under the Hospitality Committee.  The Coordinator organizes particular activities/efforts for appreciation weeks and days.  There would be an approved budget for this team and all approved expenses are reimbursable.

- Welcome Wagon Coordinator: Committee reaches out to and welcomes newcomers by matching veteran members with new PTA members and introduces incoming staff to the PTA.

Team/Committee Member - Assists with a particular activity/effort on a Committee/Team above.  Note: If you like to bake or prepare your favorite recipes, you'd be a perfect fit for the Baker's Dozen Team. Once a month this Team will request food and beverage donations for the staff to enjoy at their meeting.  If you are available to help that month, you can either drop your food at school by2:15pm, and/or stay to set up food from 2:35-2:45pm.

Volunteer - All of the above! If you can't commit your time in advance, we understand--a volunteer can also sign up for a particular effort only when available (e.g., pick up donated food from a community restaurant). Look out for information in our weekly email blast, the Volunteer Tab and the Reagan PTA Facebook on on how you can help!
