There are many levels of involvement with the PTA. Here's a quick description of what each level means.

Officer - Nominated positions and Voted in by the General Membership.

Executive Board Member - Appointed by President and attends each Executive Board Meeting, Board Meeting and General Meeting (e.g., Parliamentarian)

Standing Committee Chair - Appointed by Board Members and attends each Board Meeting and General Meeting and acts as a voting member of the Executive Board. Submits a Plan of Work for Approval for activities through out the school year (e.g., Hospitality Committee Chair).

Special Committee Chair - Appointed by Board Members and attends each Board Meeting and General Meeting to report on their Committee when necessary. Submits a Plan of Work for Approval for an activity scheduled during the school year (e.g., Book Fair).

Team Coordinator - Organizes a particular activity/effort in a Committee (e.g., Appreciation Coordinator within the Hospitality Committee)

Team/Committee Member - Assists with a particular activity/effort on a Committee/Team (e.g., helping to decorate for Soup for the Soul)

Department Liaison - Discusses needs with relevant school department and communicates needs to relevant PTA representative (e.g., Library).

Volunteer - All of the above! If you can't commit your time in advance, we understand--a volunteer can also sign up for a particular effort only when available (e.g., pick up donated food from a community restaurant). Look out for information in our weekly email blast and Facebook, on on how you can help!
